Before we executed the basement photo shoot, Lisa and I decided it would be a good idea to do a test shoot, to see how we can improve and what we need to do for the final shoot and to broaden our range of photos when selecting one for submission at the end.
We decided to go for a different style of photo shoot in comparison to our final one, and decided to aim for a girly, festival inspired theme creating an environment to take photos were people are acting naturally instead of posing for a camera, aiming to capture a more realistic image of youth today.
These were our collection of props as we set-up the shoot, which was held on a sunny day in my garden.
All the models included contributed with clothes, make-up and props and we set-up a mini, crazy dressing room in my living room, to get everyone ready to photograph.
Overall, I think Lisa and I are hoping to almost re-invent a festival scenario, where people are expressing themselves, dancing, being happy and dressing up, and trying to sum this up in a series of images. It will also give us a chance to test out any props and equipment we might want to use for the final shoot, and build on our ideas as
we go along.
